Looking for input on 1990 Merc 115hp 4 cyl

I use to have the 1989 4cyl 100 2+2. mine was trouble free, it was ten years old when I bought it,<br />and it hadn't been used much. they (2+2's) run on<br />two cyls, with the other two recieving enough fuel to lube the cyls but not enough to promote combustion below 17-1800 rpm. kinda of an odd set up really. only things I had replaced on mine were the impeller, oil seals, fuel pump diaphrams, and the switch box<br />also rebuilt the carbs to insure all cylinders were suffiecently lubricated ran trouble free<br />I probally put two hundred hours on it without a hic-kup.............Don

I have 1994 115 4 cyl. same as above no problems. A friend of mine has a 115 Evinirude 1995 on very similiar rig as mine and the merc outperforms it hands-down.

my 115 is on a 17'5" procraft bass boat with 22" pitch runs fine
