Thanks Dhadley, are they still made or when did they quit making them and were they a pretty good engine? ie: reliable etc?
Again, thanks.
EDIT: What your saying is they are just like a Fast Strike or other Johnson 200 engine?
No, they are different than the Fast Strike. The FS is a 60 degree motor. They are very similar to the 3.0 liter carb'd 200/225's since 1993. I think they're a very good motor. Lots of torque.

The 3.0 has been repalced with the 3.3 liter block at BRP. The 3.0 was phased out in the early 2000's.
Glad it worked out. Nice rig. Just take your time getting used to the plate. Just start raising and lowering it at slow speeds and youll see what it does. Just pay attention to how the boat reacts. It'll tell you what it likes.
If you have any questions just let me know. I've run a lot of boats with jackplates. Once you get the hang of it, you'll not have a boat without one.

Just watch the water pressure gauge. Those motors have very good pick up so you should be OK.
Yea and it's got the low water pick up in too so that should help.

And thanks, I'm sure I will have questions. The Dewiller plate might come with a gauge also that would help a lot. I know a lot of them did, not sure on this one though.
