Hi<br />I have a 1974 40hp Evinrude short shaft motor I am chasing more HP, Will a larger power head bolt on ie 55 or 65 hp or are they too different?<br />Thank You

probably easier to sell what you have and buy a bigger engine. Don't know what part of Oz you're from, but the rego could get murky. the model number on the leg (that is part of the rego up here) will differ from the actual HP of the engine if you manage to change the powerhead. IF dept of transport find out, you in a bit of hot water (unluss you notify of actual HP).
