Re: What is the year & HP of this motor
Like OBJ said, you've got a '57 there bencat.
Evinrude Model 7522
Year: 1957
HP: 7.5
WOT RPMS: 4000
Displacement: 12.4 cu.in. = 203.2 ccm
Cylinders: 2
Weight: 59 lbs. = 26.8 Kg
Gear ratio: 15:26
Spark plugs: Champion J6C gapped at .030" (J6J is no longer available)
Fuel/Oil mix: 24:1 87 octane gas to TC-W3 rated outboard oil.
Lower unit oil: OMC/BRP 'HiVis' or equivelant 80/90W outboard gearcase oil.

Athough those 7.5s are great engine they're known for throwing a rod if heavily abused. Stick with the 24:1 oil ratio and never rev up the engine in neutral.
