model number ?

I have looked at my title and everywhere on my motor for the model number and can not find it. It is a 1984 Evinrude 150 and it has 75th anniversary on it and is blue in color. Can you tell by the serial number ?<br /><br />I see a lot of ELO EXP or what ever on model numbers being posted and cant find anything close...thank you in advance...singed boat newbie.

Look on the port transom bracket. There should be a metal tag there with the serial number and model number on it.<br /><br />Or, look on top of the block. There should be a large core plug there with the same info on it.<br /><br />Serial numbers don't do us much good. 84' was the first year for VRO's. Yours got one?
