1973 6hp no spark on top cylinder

bottom has spark. top has nothing. checked with timing light and with spark plug. tried new plugs. tried cleaning plugs.<br /><br />all of the ignition is under the fly wheel, which suck, as i have no flywheel remover. does this motor have seperat coils like my 1988 15hp does or do they share a coil like my 1969 85hp does...<br /><br />juts got motor today and this is but one of my probs... thanks

you can get a puller at wally world to do this job for a few bucks<br /><br />There are 2 coils<br /> 2 sets points<br /> 2 condensers<br /><br />under that fly wheel<br />The key to success on the pull is to have the right size bolts to fasten it down with

And they'd be three 1/4", 20tpi (threads per inch) good quality bolts, about 3" long depending on your puller. :)
