No, I dont you but I spoke with my buddy about seeing your post and I told him it sounded like his boat. He said that he sold it to someone from Washington. I thought he got that motor rebuilt? I remember when he got it back from the mechanic. I have fished in that boat before. Seemed to ride pretty good.

THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT BUT IT DIDNT HOLD UP VERY WELL. IT MELTED A PISTON AND CRACKED THE CYLINDER WALL. TELL YOU FRIEND TO LET THE MECHANIC KNOW THAT HIS REBUILD DIDNT LAST VERY LONG. IT BLEW IN AUGUST OF 2003.

Dhadley,
I installed the water PSI gauge today, but it is not working. I ran the motor in the yard at idle on the water hose but I did not get any reading on the gauge. The line is clear, I can siphon water through the hose going to the gauge. There is not any water being pumped through it.
HELP.

Where exactly did you put the fitting in the motor fot the water to come from? Did you let the motor run long enough to fill the block so the motor was "peeing"?

There was already a fitting on the plate under the power head in the location you told me in an previous post. The fitting had a piece of tubing on it with a bolt plugging it off. I removed that fitting and put in the one from the kit.
Water was coming from the weep hole as normal. I let the motor run approxmiately one minute.
I can siphon water through the tube so i know it is clear just no pressure.

I belive this port was where the previous owner had a gauge hooked up.
Should I let the motor run for a little longer.

I HAVE RAISED THE MOTOR 1 BOLT HOLE. MY RESULTS WERE AS FOLLOWS.

5400 RPM WOT
40.5 MPH
LOAD WAS 250LBS MORE THAT PREVIOUS POST.
WATER PRESSURE WAS 22 LBS @ 4200 RPM.
PRESSURE FELL 3 TO 5 LBS AFTER RAISING THE MOTOR.
I CAN NOT GET 5800 RPMS OUT OF THIS MOTOR. LET ME KNOW WHAT TO TRY NEXT.
