Thaks to the people who responded to my first gas<br />problem. It is a portable Tank fittings are tight<br />fule lines clamps tight vent cap open cap off still runs then stalls primer goes soft does not stay firm 85HP Evinrude 1972 Mod# 85293.

Check tank pickup tube for restriction and consider replacing the primer bulb.

didnt read your first post, but i would think you checked the fuel pump, and check valves right,
