Engine hard to start. can spray start fluid in carb will start. when motor warm will fire on first pull. :confused:

Ahoy, SeaJay. Don't use starter fluid, it washes away lube and can seriously damage the engine. Use WD-40.<br /><br />What model is it? Your choke or primer circuit is not working, or you are not using it correctly.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB :)

Time to pull the carb..Put a kit in it and clean all the little nooks and crannys with carb cleaner..I perferr Berrymans B12 You can get it at Walmart.. They also have the type to put in your fuel tank..Works really well.

Kitting that carb is likely in your future,but I'd be doing a compression test first.

Mod. year is 1987 carb is rebuilt by shop.have followed start procedures to spec.how do i diagnose the primer knob? also twist grip throttle apears to be stiff. :confused:
