Ignition Switch Problem

I have taken my boat out of winter storage (Mercury 115 4 stroke). I turn the ignition key and get nothing no gauges working, no clicking absoulutly nothing. I checked for 12 volts on the back of the ignition switch and it was not present Any Ideas <br /><br />Thanks

Its either dead, unhooked, or not making connection.

I charged the battery. I am getting 12 volts to the console fuse box. Should one pole of the ignition switch have a constant 12 volts??

Yes there should be 12v. at the switch. Start there and work your way back.

I found the problem. It was the neutral switch wire going to the starter solenoid. I was glad that it was not the neutral switch itself. I dont know if i could have replaced it. The control box cover screws were rusted real bad. thanks for all your inputs.
