accesories wiring

just curious as to opinionns on how to wire accessories in a boat. should i go with a fuse block or wire the accessories straight to the cranking batery with individual inline fuses? such acc. include....depth finder, lights, pumps, stereo, vhf, auxilary ports.

You will definitely want some kind of power distribution, whether it is a fuse panel, power distribution bar, or circuit breaker panel, whatever.<br /><br />One of the more overlooked items is a battery fuse. It is a large, fast blow inline fuse between the battery and the distribution source. It should be wired within inches of the battery’s pos terminal.
