Rot deterence solutions?

A while back there was a lot being posted about solutions to inhibit rot. One of them was Ethylene Glycol but I don't think that was too compatible with later epoxy treatment.

There was another compound that I can not remember. Does anyone have a link to these ideas? I thought I had saved one but when I opened it there was some other subject displayed.

Ah!. That's what I thought. If you have wet/damp wood already, would you just mix up a strong solution and let it soak into the wood?
This of course is assuming that there is no signifigant rot already.

Can you glass over wood treated with anti-freeze or borates? And if you do, will it stick or delaminate later on? I'm thinking that it would be good for wood stringers that are glassed in but you don't want them to delaminate later on.
