How to replace **** lever on 1955 evenrude 15hp motor.

If you are talking about the shift lever, you have to remove the powerhead to gain access to the shift rod attached to the end of the shift lever.

You are correct, i do have to remove power head, that is what i need help with.i have no idea how to do this.

It's not as hard as it looks, remove the throttle linkage from the tiller handle and then the powerhead bolts. the thing that may give you a hard time is frozen bolts.
Do you have and OEM manual, might be a good idea to get one and do some reading first.
