Basically, I just got this boat. It is a fixer upper and I have not had in on the water. It is a 1983 Johnson 150. when I start the motor with motor flushing device I saw oil leaking between prop and lower end unit. Got any ideas?

Is it lower unit oil or just unburned fuel/oil mix. I suspect the latter. You should be able to tell by the smell of the oil. Rub a little on you finger and give it a sniff. If it's the fuel/oil mix there's nothing to be concerned about.

Just to be clear...lower unit oil has a pretty distinctive smell. If it's lower unit oil that's leaking - you have a problem. Fuel/oil mix - no problem.
