Merc. 225 lower unit

8 or 13 spline driveshaft as your in that year range where they changed...also check your pm..

13 spline.1.75 ratio.Broke pinion gear and splines on bottom of drive shaft.I'm looking for a used one because I'm going to repower next spring. Don't want to put alot of money in it.

look at some of the outboard gearcases.

What is SEI? I Googled it and didn't see anything in there about lower units.I'm not sure where this is suppose to lead me.

Try searching Stern Drive Engineering. Some search engines will give you other options for SEI.

Thanks no luck there. I'm still looking for a used one. Trying to keep the cost down.
