how do i turn idle up on 96 40hp johnson?

not sure on my motor info as the sticker that has model and all that has washed off some how! (just bought bouat recently) any ideas on how i can find out what ex=act model i have so i can get service manuals and that, thanks

Look on the engine for a quarter ($.25) size core (freeze) plug. The model and serial numbers are typically stamped on them.

thanks will take a look in the morn and see what i can find!
all i know is it runs alot better with the plugs at .30 then at .19 and .21 lol that solved my high speed stall problem. now it seems to need the idle turned up a tade to run properly.
