or a 17, my boat seems to do quite well with the 17, I think a 19 would be too much for mine.

Unfortunately you may have a tired motor.Right now there are 2 19ft 3.0 bayliners
in the prop section that run close to 45.With good overall performance.
Check that your throttle plates open all the way and that it is running on all cylinders. Bottom clean and smooth.Does it seem to respond to trim up.
bow rises some? Or does it lay down like its glued to the water?

Before everyone starts throwing prop numbers out there, it would help to know his outdrive and gear ratio....

And the best my 19' 3.0L got was 43.9 mph on a gps, with 2 people and some gear.

15.25x15 prop, what altitude are you running the boat at?

I use that size prop when I'm up at 8-9000'. Down at 1000' I run a 15x19 prop and the boat's WOT is around 4400, I don't have GPS, but the boat's speedo reads in the mid 30's.

My 17.5 foot does 40 mph with a 19p prop according to the speedo.

I plan to do a compression check this week. I didn't think about my size! Lol the 3 people we had n the boat was over 650lbs. So it's like we had several people n the boat. We are going to try to clean the boat and maybe just try it with just me in the boat and see wat that doesn't do for me after a compression check. Also I have a alpha one outdrive not sure how to tell the gear ratio tho.

I had a GPS reading of 39.6 MPH with my boat the one time that I tested it. 20 gal of fuel and 2 adults. Original 19P prop. 4500ish RPM.

My gps speed is 37 mph with a full tank of fuel and around 400 lbs on board. I have a 17.5 ft aluminium crestliner sportfish Have a 19 pitch 3 blade aluminum prop and run around 4600 rpm
