2 Micron Filter

I have a 2001 Johnson 150.Changed the Racor filter with a 2 micron.Runs fine except for low speed,it stalls out.Could the 2 micron cause a fuel flow problem?

Are you certain about 2 microns. Most of the Racor filter elements are 10 micron.

Check on Parker Hannifin website ... they publish pressure data for their filters. The ten micron filter I have has a 0.61 psi drop. 2 microns will certainly have a larger drop, unless it's a huge filter, and it may be too much, since the pump probably on has a 3 to 4 psi discharge pressure and the filter may impose too great a suction restriction on it.
