Hello! The choke connector slips off the lever frequently. Is it not hooked up right? See pictures. The rod arm slips off the little metal stub piece it connects to to move the fuel control. Any ideas? I checked the parts diagram and it seems like all the parts are there. Maybe the rod needs to be attached to the other metal piece that the other rod is attached to? Thanks!

It's not hooked up right. I'm working on my buddies 18 right now. There is a little plastic gromment that gets tightened down with a screw that holds it in place. It's a little below where the lever is sitting right now.

Huh, thanks. I will look at the parts diagram. Would you be able to upload a picture?

Thanks!

Here is a diagram. Can you tell me the part number? Thanks!

Rod support 204488 holds it in place. You can see where the rod is shined up from sliding through it.

I'm at work right now. The 18 I'm working on had exactly the same issue. It's an older motor than yours (1962) but the set up looks exactly the same. I'll check back when I get home and send a pic.
