1978 1150 mercury outboard vertical throttle lever

While working on my engine, I needed to loosen the nut on the bolt that passes through the center of the vertical throttle lever and connects it to the engine. Can anyone tell me the proper amount of torque I need to use when re-tightening the nut on this bolt?

Eric, Snug it down until the lever has no play, but does not bind either. It should have a 9/16" nylon locknut, which allows this adjustment.
