Here in Lake Mead we have wipers. They're a cross between white bass and strripers, We call them bacon fish, because although they are usually larger than the stripers, they are'nt as fat; so when you fillet them, all you're left with is what looks like a strip of bacon!

We have them in lots of impoundments here in GA. The one I fish the most has at least to over 14lbs. Its a train wreck trolling for crappies with four ultralight rods and hooking a 3lb, hybrid(thats what they call them here). I haven't yet been completely "spooled", but I have had to crank up the trolling motor and chase a few, when I got down to seeing bare metal between the last few wraps of 4# test!
