I have a 1984 pleasurecraft marine engine in my boat that doesn't have any spark. I have 12 volts to + side of coil, and the coil ohms tests are as follows: + terminal to - terminal 1.4 ohms, - terminal to coil output terminal (where center distributor wire hooks to coil) 7,100 ohms. This is a 351 Ford engine, with an electronic module/pickup coil? in distributor. There are no points or condenser. Does anybody know how to test the pickup coil inside distributor?
