I have a 1984 pleasurecraft marine engine in my boat that doesn't have any spark. I have 12 volts to + side of coil, and the coil ohms tests are as follows: + terminal to - terminal 1.4 ohms, - terminal to coil output terminal (where center distributor wire hooks to coil) 7,100 ohms. This is a 351 Ford engine, with an electronic module/pickup coil? in distributor. There are no points or condenser. Does anybody know how to test the pickup coil inside distributor? Thank you for your help.

That manual doesn't have any electronic ignition information on Ford engines at all.

And if its a Pertronix unit, it could be dead.
