I just finished restoring my boat and would like to take it out on a lake and have some fun.
I've seen a lot of lakes in my area that have 10mph speed limits..:(
Does anyone know of any lakes in my area (Bay Area) that has a higher speed limit?
Thanks for looking.
Any help and advice is appreciated!

10MPH? That sucks. Probably gotta go south I'm assuming?

I know right?!
I'm just try to go a little bit faster then that.
10mph would be good for the little kids but the adults would like to go a little faster.
I've googled but no links..
Anyone?

You might want to try posting this in the "Boating, Activities and Destinations" section of the forums.

What about the entire Delta area??
Sacramento/Stockton/Pittsburg...something like 1,000 miles of navigable waterways.

Depends on how far North. Lake Berryessa, near Winters. Orville Lake, past Yuba City. Shasta Lake, near Redding. Lake Folsom, past Sacramento, near Roseville. Clear Lake, near Lake County. Just to name a few.

There is also lake sonoma about 1/2 hour north from Santa Rosa. The Delta is fresh up around Sacramento area.

I'm in the bay area and personally I like Lake Berryessa for a day trip. Don Pedro and New Melonies are out in the valley but a longer trip. There is also a book called Recreation Lakes of California that can help you locate lakes of interest and comes in handy.
