Okay, so it runs, but there is no water coming from the pee hole.

The impeller is new, anybody have any suggestions?

Maybe the parts diagram and water circulation diagram?

Figure maybe it's just plugged up.

From everything I can tell, this motor turns clockwise when viewed from the top.

Wouldn't the impeller blades trail in the direction of the engines rotation instead of push ahead?

In other words, am I correct in thinking that this impeller is backwards?

Would a backwards impeller fail to pump?

I corrected it.

Pumps water now.

Just gotta get those little rubber deals that hold the motor to the transom mount to go together.

Previous owner removed them trying to figure out why his motor wasn't cooling.

Anywho, I got three of them together, but the fourth wont go in deep enough to get the snap ring in place.

I got a killer deal on this motor. $30 for a running motor that merely needed the direction of the impeller flipped for it to work properly.

Course I have to deal with it being disassembled when I got it.

And by someone who knows nothing about outboards no less.

It still has an issue though.

The darn thing will go in forward and reverse, but I can't seem to get it to go into neutral.

Any thoughts on this?
