Hi guys. I just pull out my boat after winter today.Start motor with no problem. After i shut off,and start again, and again.Maybe i shut off and start motor 5 or 6 times ,and after that motor won,t start any more. But after i wait a few hours (4-6). I start it again with no problem. This problem repeats all the time.Do you guys have any ideas what's wrong with the motor? I have 98 mercury 40 hp eletric start motor.
Thanks!

Do you have a manual or automatic choke? could be your choke is sticking and flooding your engine after a few starts. The gas evaporates in time and the engine will start again. I'd suspect a fuel issue as you appear to have spark.

I have manual choke. This is very possible, because sparks plugs was very wet, when i moved out to clean it.Then i turn on ignition switch with out sparks plugs and motor throw out so much gas. You can tell me how to fix this. Thanks Wingedwheel.
