I just had a new to me 260 installed in my boat. I had a hydrofoil on it but it is gone now and I really didnt like it all that well. With any amount of weight it seemed to have a reverse effect on the boat. So In come smart tabs I am looking at these.

My boat weighs in around 2400 pounds not including gas, people and gear, it is also 18 feet. Also with the 240hp rating will they be the right size to get or should I look for something closer to the weight and hp rating?

Re: smart tabs

I would call them. I did and they were very helpful telling me exactly what I would need for my application.

Re: smart tabs

You have two choices which are ST1290-80 or SX9510-80. Assuming that you have the mounting room. Check our web site under the following links which will give you the exact dimensions You have two choices which are ST1290-80 or SX9510-80. http://www.nauticusinc.com/pdf/ss_smart_tabs_dimensions.pdf and/or http://www.nauticusinc.com/pdf/smart_tabsSX_dimensions.pdf

If you have mounting restrictions then the ST1290-80 would be better as these are more flexible when it comes to mounting.

Under "install Instructions on our web site there are numerous photo's which I suggest you look over as you may find a transom similar to yours.

If you wish to send a picture of the back of your boat use John@Nauticusinc.com

I got the stainless steel ones and love the way they look. They also turned it into a different boat at WOT no more chine walking.
