Picked up an 84 Wellcraft 19 open bow for the price of towing it away this weekend. It has the infamous merc. 470 that was supposedly running when stored several years ago. Reason for storage, it started pouring water from the front. (No surprise.) Seats and upholstery are shot but floor seems solid.

Anyhow, it came on a nice twin axel trailer in good shape so I figured I'd pull it home, strip it down, save the trailer and then scrap it. The problem, even though I absolutely know there is no way the boat is worth rebuilding I still have a problem scrapping it. There is this voice in the back of my head that keeps saying, "If you just....."

Not to worry, no way momma is going to let that happen.

Post some pictures first. I know what you mean about that feeling.

I gave one away, and have no worries scrapping my 27'er. Made a fair amount of money parting it out too.
