Hi,

I am trying to find out the name for, and find, a 'latch' that I am sure I have seen on boats to secure panels and such. I have drawn a picture of it with ms paint (excuse the crudeness). I am trying to find some, but don't know what they are called, so I can't find them on google, nor at home depot. Can someone help me?

If you can't see the graphic, the basic description is a 'spike' that fits through a 'loop.' The spikes are on the panel, 2 or 4, one in each corner, and the panel is secured by guiding all spikes through their respective loops. There is no lever or locking mechanism, as the panel is merely held in place by the tension.

Re: Name for specific latch

I have to admit that I've never seen a latch like that. I tried a number of searches on Google, but couldn't turn it up, either. It's a puzzle, and I know hardware really well, too.

I'm sure it has a name, but I sure can't find it.
