1985 evinrude 30hp help

How would I go about setting the idle mixture screw.. I have looked around but havent found anything yet.. Should it be a certain number of turns out? I do not have a tach so Im kinda going by ear and I dont know a whole lot about outboards..thanks alot

anyone.. I wanna take the boat out for the first time this week and I wanna get the idle right first..

Lightly tighten the screw down all the way, be easy seating it so you don't damage the seat. Back off one and a half turns to start, you will probably need to fine tune it on the water.
