Lordy, Im glad I saw him first

I went out to my shop and discovered this little boy. I quickly caught him and sent him on his way AWAY from my shop....hes a "nice one'

I would have left him in my shop. Would of taken care of the mice, chipmunks, and also an added advantage it would keep my wife from nosing around to see what I have bought lately:)

Black snake? I understand they are the best to have hang around since the make meals of poisonous snakes

I would have kept him nothing wrong with a rat snake,but I do like snakes:D

We had our first one of the season last weekend. He was laying out in our freshly planted flower bed.

I understand the urge to get rid of him, but I would now be worried about what is left behind. He was in there for a reason, and that reason was either food or shelter close to food. So now, do you have mouse traps set, too?

if you catch him again put him in a box and send him up to me i will give him a nice garage to patrol and will get some babe to knit him a snake sock for winter.

If I catch another one I think I will put him inside one of the wifes old pocket books and throw it out beside the road near my house. Then I will wait with my camera. I bet the "movie" would be good enough to make it to TV.

I raise Pythons , you did the right thing by being careful with him and using a long pole to move him .

Rat snakes are very aggressive and bite readily, but like a chihuahua, don't pack much punch. He's nonpoisonous.
