Best Grease for the Job

I know Bond-o will love this but...

Which grease is best for on the prop shaft?

This guy at the marina told me to use some of this hypoid 90 stuff; I have a tough time believing that a 90 weight oil should be used in place of a waterproof grease.

I use the same green marine grease as I use on everything else, it stays on there real good. Bond-O says, "any grease better than no grease", probably very true, especially for prop shaft splines! Good Luck!

Marine grade grease for your prop shaft. Why would they suggest you use 90 wieght gear oil? Just doesn't make sense...

Ayuh,... Oil sure ain't Grease by any means,.... I wouldn't do it....
And,... By it's very nature, Grease, All grease is pretty darn Waterproof to begin with...

I wish Iboats would start selling Bondo's grease! I would love to have a can on the work bench just under my Iboats calender!

I just like the Triple Guard stuff because its a pretty blue...lol!

I just got some sta-lube marine grade grease. That will be my final grease question in this forum, no kidding...:redface:
