73 starcraft chieftian project

Hello everyone I've bought a 73 cheiftian, I'm new to this forum so any advice on do & dont's on the boat would be helpful. pic to come.

Do's and don't.... well here is one, make sure you put the plug in before you launch. LOL just kidding. I have a 1975 Starchief but they are similar.

I have a 86 chieftain but the 70 vintage ones look the same.
This group is good to ask question and get feed back, I wish I would have known about iboats before I rebuild the interior and replaced the floor in my chieftain. I would done a few things different, but my rebuild turned out fine.
Mine has a merc I/O 140hp, what is yours powered by?
I use mine for saltwater fishing the Pacific Ocean and it handles the big water pretty good.
