Flipping a log style exhaust for clearance? Pics inside

First of all thanks to Legman67 for this idea. My boat has some real clearance issues in the rear and this would solve my problems. It looks like he flipped the manifolds and added a 2 or three inch riser and then flipped the elbow. Does any one know if this is ok? It makes total sense to me, but I want to make sure before i go flipping.

Ayuh,... I wouldn't, but you can do whatever ya want...

A lot of boats have clearence issues but if your setup fits as is, I would leave it alone. That said, turning them around shouldn't hurt anything as long as the water/coolant is routed correctly, 'nutcase

Just don't accidently make it so the hot water goes into the engine and the cold water out of the boat.......wait...... :D

So the water jackets should line up and flow correctly? I know I would need to custom make some hoses. This is just proof of concept for a raw water boat?
