Used to have a VP that called any issue of opportunity "low hanging fruit"......"Can't fix the big problems until we get the low hanging fruit". Within a couple of months every wanna be in the company was saying it. Drove me nuts!!!!
Also used to have a counterpart that was very good at his job, but had his own version of the english language. Once we were in a small town that was in pretty bad shape. He meant to say, "This town is really decrepit". It came out, "Wow, this town is really decapitated". Another time we were in a meeting talking about headcount and staffing. One of the departments that I ran was a few people over budgeted headcount. Our VP asked what my plan was. Before I could tell him that I planned to cut heads through attrition Jimmy said, "Aaron, are you just going to cut it back through nutrition?". I said, "Yes, Jimmy I'm going to starve a few of them to death". He did this daily. We called them Jimmyism's!
