Is this prop shaft missing something

Hello, Received this yamaha 7hp (1973-1975) from a friend. (you can see my other thread on this. Anyways is this shaft missing something ie and impeller. I have looked on other threads and it appears that there is some type of case that goes over it?

You are mising the bottom plate,impeller, and housing. You should be able to get a water pump kit with all the parts you need . Except maybe the key way.

A keyway is a slot in the drive shaft and the water pump impeller. A "drive key" (not a keyway) is inserted in this slot so when the driveshaft spins, so does the impeller. Without the drive key the shaft would simply spin inside the impeller and it wouldn't pump water.

thanks understand. My only problems is that my motor is a 1973-75 and i cant find a repair manual on it. So I also wouldn't know what year to buy a water pump kit from. Any suggestions?
