Need a new bilge blower ?

Since i have been doing some small maintenance on my boat since work is slow i remembered that the 3 inch bilge blower was getting loud to the point of making loud shrill sounds.....loud enough to hear over the engine noise.... Whats a good bilge blower that is quiet and not so expensive??

try spraying the motor shafts with an oil like wd 40 or crc 656.
what your hearing is the shaft bushings sqeeling cause they are dry.

cant even see the shaft no way to lubricate it plus it feels pretty worn out and wobbly on the shaft......sunday is not the best time to find parts im my neck of the woods...

If you hose your bilge out and get the fan wet one will die, the other will continue to operate properly.

I guess I would pay an extra couple of $$. After all, the blower if for the boat, the boat is for the water...and things in the water tend to get wet...

I bought a Detmar because it has a higher CFM (170) and a 3 year warranty.
Detmar Water-Resistant 3" In-Line Blower - 170 cfm open flow. 8"L x 4-3/4"H.
It's also cheaper than what you're showing here.

okay i bought a shur flo yellowtail from west marine for 19.95 6 bladed fan installed it and she's running like a champ
