Aloha

Found this forum in search for info...... I have 2 2003 Yam 115 4 stroke engines 240 hours. One of them will not start. Will crank but will not start. So begins the investigation.
Checked spark... good
checked coils good
plugs good
Ecm good
rectafier good
wire harness good
fuel rail and injectors good
main relay good
Pulse coils good
checked grounds good

above items double check by willy nilly swap to the working engine and tested worked....... engine cranked and started and ran good

Used computer program to check, nothing shows as problem.... on bad engine
cranked engine and tested injectors and fuel rail from good engine on bad, no sound and no lite when tested with light tester. Used computer to send signal to injectors, worked....... but will not light when cranking....
Beginning to think High pressure fuel pump and or VST.

Any ideas before I go out and spend money I dont have????

Thanks in advance for any infor

Check compression, fuel pump pressure and rail pressure, spark with a spark board for all cylinders, and timing.
You have to be missing one of these components for it not to fire up

Flywheel key? Or cam gear or chain? Or whatever it might have? Check compression and static timing. Looks like you have fuel and spark, just need compression at right time to make it go ...BOOM...

Just thought...b4 spending money.

splatter gunning :)
yep I like it, makes me apile O money.
however check fuel rail pressure at key on power.
then test the injectors by using a jumper wire set.
nothing jumped, you either lack spark or fuel.
but the willy nilly approach is gonna cost a lot.

Recheck YOUR lanyard bypass. Gunna be something so embarrasing if components OK elsewhere
