What do you serve as the main course on THANKSGIVING poll

Im sure turkey will be the most typical...might be kinda interesting to see what the "alternative to turkey" people are serving!

We serve baked store bought TURKEY.......

we are mostly Italians in my family and normally we have gram's home made meatballs, gravy, and lasagna. turkey is also there but the lasagna is what we want. to be fair i cook a turkey for the house the day after thanksgiving because i love everything turkey, but only once a year. i only want turkey once a year cause i get the biggest i can get and have turkey everything for at least a week.

Even though there will be turkey for us it is vegetarian meal never have been fond of the turkey anyway,Have a Happy Thanksgiving

A turkey my wife hunted down at the store, she actually bagged 2 for the price of 1

T- 8 hours and counting before I have to pop that baby one the grill...

T-12 hours before we are eating it...

I bought two turkeys and a ham but didn't feel like cooking so were going to a buffet and then take in a movie. Turkeys and ham can be cooked for X-mas. No family here since we are transient people, I mean Military but it does feel like were always leaving somewhere to go somewhere else. Hard to make friends when you know your gonna leave them soon. Happy Turkey Day everyone. Think were gonna watch Old Dogs.

Turkey... its whats for dinner once a year.

So far I am the only pork vote. Its our first year of doing ham instead of turkey. We are going for convenience this year. The smoked pre-cooked ham will be so much easier to serve. In years past the family has done some elaborate turkey recipes, they have been great and all, but its a LOT of work for one dinner and some leftovers.

The only trick is gonna be how to put the stuffing in the ham...

Turkey.....just prepped and put in the roaster..
My home made corn bread dressing,Cheesy red potatoes with bacon and cheddar cheese.Green bean casserole,mashed potatoes,sweet potato pie with pecans on top and several other pies and goodies..

Ohhh! I will be in a turkey coma by 6pm...

Pork = Ham on the poll
Beef = doh didnt poll that one lol

yea we eat turkey once a year too....I like the dark meat, more juicy...the white breast meat gets dry sometimes.....

We had a fish fry this year!
catfish shrimp hushpuppies and fries
end others just brought the normal thanksgiving sides
it was great to have something diffrent
