Hi,

I?m also a new funline owner, the boat was for sale form a guy in Georgia. I?m having the boat shipped to Dublin Ireland. Don?t know much about the boats but the shape is very cool.
I have made contact with bill at Asitro Craft and I?m waiting for him to get back to me with any information he has on the boat.
If any one can help me with information on the boat it would be great.
I think the engine is a mercruiser 110 with a A1 drive.
Will post more pics when I get the boat home.:)

what info do you want? there's the diy or adults only sticky at the top of the i/o forum where you can find out much about much info on maintaining your i/o. like the oem service manual is available... there's a lot of info in the service manual. straight from merc too. i use mine all the time. much trouble shooting guide stuff too.

wow, that's a sweet looking i/o funliner. far out. just don't seem like ya see many i/o funliners. even though yours is the second to show up here in a few weeks time... the black ones the other one. most funliners i've seen are o/b's

ya sure got another looker there. love them sliding side windows on yours, i've not seen that. wonder if all funliners have that feature... i like yer striping too. looks real good..

congrats on your new boat. looks like ya have a real well cared for boat there.. way to go..

Congrats on the sweet looking Funliner. I hope it makes it to you in one piece. I am sure it will turn heads once you get her in the water.

Ziggy, the sliding windows were an option you could get on the Funliner from what I understand. I have the original sliders for my '59 and they work like a charm.

The boat is on its way from Savannah to Dublin Ireland (20ft ctr). I live in Carrick on Shannon what is about two hours from Dublin inland on the river Shannon.

The cost of getting the boat to me is $2000..... Yes I know a lot of money but I just love the boat :D also i don't know of any in Europe.

The ETA on the boat will be 10 dec 2009.

I have been looking around on the web and are the early mercruiser drives White?

I can't swear to it in all cases; but, the only white ones I know of are OMC.

i think the early mercruisers were white.

check out some of the pics in service manual #1. some are of white drives.
also, check out the old tv show flipper. i believe the drives to be mercruiser and they are white with a black gimble housing... you can watch flipper on hulu.com
i've never personally seen a white mercruiser though..

Hi,

Just got the boat back home and looking at what needs to be done.

One of the things is a full paint job.
The gelcoat is cracking in a lot of places see the pic, need some advice on how to fill the cracks.

Also have a lot of cracks on the none slip areas, how do I fill them and get the texture in the filler??

sean, if I were you, I would start a new thread in the restoration section for your project. These manufactuer sections don't get a lot of traffic and you'd be missing out on a TON of expert help.

Glad you got the boat overseas without incident!
