Re: What kind of boating?

I guess 32 on gps would qualify for slow boating, fast enough for skiing and tubing:D

Re: What kind of boating?

I guess I count as 3-i love a good sail(slow), but by the same token we have a powerboat or two which i feel qualifies as fast, at least compared to sailing at 6-8 knots on a good day, but since none of the boats are currently running properly, I'm also temporarily none. On the bright side I should have one running tomorrow, 2 more by the end of the month and the 4th boat all fixed up by Christmas.

Re: What kind of boating?

i didn't vote....

i have what i call a pleasure boat. so i go pleasure boating...

that's mostly slow. 1000-1200 rpms.

i stop and enjoy the scean and float about, maybe have a swim or beach it. that's slower yet...

i go for a cruise @ 2200 rpms

i open it up to blow the carbon out of it and be sure i can achieve wot every other time out or so @ 4300.

i boat in the rain and enjoy the excitement of a breezy day.

i slept on board overnight once a week between early june and very end of sept.... this included night boating and launching...

oh, forgot river runs... they happen @ 2800-3400 along with the float down river....

i had a good time doing my kinda boating this year. it couldn't have been better.... and my boat didn't miss a beat either.... :D

sorry i don't have any speeds for ya... i've only got a tach...

Re: What kind of boating?

Should be a "combination of the above" answer. Therefore I did not vote.

Somewhere in between fast and slow. We use it for skiing, tubing (when our adult sons join us) and when just the admiral and me we exercise the engine going fast, then do some cruising between local marinas, anchor to swim, lounge when on a lake or find a courtesy dock for restaurant when on the ocean. May start doing some fishing at the start of next year. But for now it's mostly a pleasurable way to relax each weekend.

Re: What kind of boating?

I clicked on several items and they all stayed checked, so it is a multi-option poll.

I vote for fishing and slow boating... I figure that cruising at 20-30 is considered slow...

Re: What kind of boating?

I like em all but since I can't sleep on my boat I'm mostly fast/slow boating.

As long as the wife/kids are happy I'm pretty much happy as well.;)

Re: What kind of boating?

I voted: Fast boating, Slow boating, Fishing, Racing and Living on a boat.

If I'm on a boat I'm happy! The type of recreation is irrelevant. From the second I step on, until the second I step off I'm in another place.

I LOVE BOATING!!!
