Check out the cooliris plugin for Firefox (might be for IE, too, not sure). It allows you to visually browse CL. For me, it means I'll actually browse the 'general' section, since I don't have to figure out what all the weird titles mean.
Here is a screen shot of my local CL boat section:
You can simply scroll sideways through all of them. It also supports youtube and a bunch of other sites. It fetches videos from a huge list of sites, which you can browse, search and view within the plugin, including news and documentaries.
It's really cool. I wasted quite a few hours browsing it when I first got it. The science section is a geek's wet dream. It also supports searching, which was invaluable when I was researching the latest Android phones. It almost feels like the internet I imagined before the internet existed.

I found it works really well for learning more about current events, since one source rarely tells enough of a story.
