Do I store the Cuddy with the door open of closed.

I'm winterizing my Wellcraft Eclipse 233 for the winter. I'm going to wrap the whole thing in a tarp and store it outside for a long winter nap. My question is do I leave the cuddy open or closed and the roof vent. If I leave the cuddy open the moisture can escape or is it going to let dampness in from the rest of the boat? If I close it the dampness is trapped, but will a damp away bucket help that. Any suggestions?

remove all pillows, paper, seats ETC, any thing that can absorb moisture.
pick up some of that camper dry stuff, close windows and doors.
it works for our camper, why not a wrapped boat. :)

....I store my V 20 outside under a tight fitting cover with vents. I leave the cuddy door, live wells engine hatch and storage compartments OPEN. I no longer have a mildew problem come Spring.

.....because, hopefully, a camper doesn't get a wet interior nor bilge. Moisture can hide under decks, equipment and in upholstry just waiting to get insulated during the off season.

You should leave things open so the air can flow, but make absolutely sure that mice do not want to come inside.Use cedar wood oil or mothballs or anything that will keep the mice out.
