Evinrude Control problems

Evinrude 28hp Control High Idle lever Problem- My high speed control lever is floppy and barely increases the Idle speed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Paul

You might try taking the control apart and check the bushings are in good shape and the connecting screw is tight.

there is a bushing that fits into the groove in the control, some one may have had it apart and lost that bushing.
