Got a motor that I couldn't get any spark out of. Found a way to remove the flywheel and cleaned the points and checked magnetos for continuity, and they're fine. Closed it up and got a spark in one cynlinder, but not the other? Any suggestions? Is there a way to check the condensers and magnetos for more than continuity? Pretty cool to hear it finally "cough," but it still won't turn over... Thanks!

Did you check spark with a spark checker, spark should jump 1/4 inch and blue in color. You might want to check compression also.

Thanks for the reply. Got some time to work it, and cleaned up the coil/magneto and the points. Gapped them correctly and MAN! did I get a spark! Now to get it to idle down to trolling speed... It runs great, but now I'm having trouble keeping it from dying when it's at the lowest speed. Not sure what to adjust there. Any ideas?

Now that you have the electricals sorted out, time to clean/rebuild the carb to complete the job.
