By buying the 4 blade prop it will bring your prop slip down whih inreases speed. Or you an buy a 20" pith and gain a little more RPM than with the Soals amita in a 20" pith but have more prop slip normally, it mainly has to do with blade surfae area and blad geometry. But the Solas Amita will lower your RPM by 200 to 300 RPM but derease your prop slip. My opinion is it is better to have lower prop slip in most ases, if you are running lose to maximum RPM.

Hwsii, I got the prop on (wow that was pathetically easy - too bad I found that out after I had the marine shop do it!). However, the diameter is bigger on this prop, so the guy had to take out the trim tab (anode?) as it was hitting it. He said it shouldn't affect the power steering because it is a four blade. Is this true, or is he blowing smoke up by wazoo?

It wont do anything normally when you have power steering.
