470 block on an engine stand question

I pulled my engine yesterday. Today I'm going to put it on an engine stand.

I'm just wondering if the aluminum block is strong enough to support the weight of the engine and accessories, including front mount.

Any concerns?

Nevermind. I googled again with different seach terms and found an old discussion on this.

Lotta strength in that block, no worries. Use all 4 arms on the stand.

Mercy Buckets. Are "bumper washers" the same as rubber washers?

I don't know. A forum member mentioned "bumper washers" in this old discussion I found.

I used fender washers to keep the stand from boogering up the block. That may have been what he meant. It's probably a regional thing.

Ah. A fender washer would make sense for that. I'm guessing you'd be putting it betweeen the stand and the bellhouse holes? I do that when I have car engines on the stand for the same reasons. The motors I usually mess with are iron tho, so they're not all that particular.
