I would think in the range of 6 to 8 mph. You won't need flaps to break that's for sure. Best of luck. You might get more response in the boat forum. Rick.

Yeah, about 9 or 10 if it will plane, which is probably not going to happen. Otherwise about 6 or so.

Yes 6mph is about tops if it does not plane
Max speed in knots of a non planning hull is about 1.34 X square root of the water line length. If that is 11 ft it works out at only just over 4.4 kn which is about 5.1 mph . A light hull will go a bit faster. 6mph? with luck!

I'm with the 6 mph as well. A friend of ours has a 12ft aluminum with a 5.5 ted Williams. Once we cleaned it out and got it running properly we got 6 mph out of it by GPS with 12 person aboard. 5 mph with 2 people and 4 mph with 3.

All sorts of places. A lot from other boating forums. A lot by searching Google for it. Some from books.

If I come across something interesting that might be useful I make a note of the source.

Ok, here's my guess. 10 mph or 16.5 kmh if you plane. 6-7 mph or 10 kmh if you don't.

Here is a 1954 5.5 hp on my 12.3' tin boat. Load included me (205 lbs), 2 hp back up motor (26 lbs), small tool box and 3 gallons of fuel. Mine also has a 3 blade bronze prop. It pushes me on average 10 mph or 16.5 kmh.
