replace coils?

Im now trouble shooting rebuilt power head trouble, 96 112 spl.
I got power head back with coils on 1 & 2 cyl with chunks taken out of them.
Well after reading those will soon fail, I bought 2 new ones that came with wire. Now I question myself, should I replace 2 & 4 as well? being 12 years old now. Just wondering if its nec. u know being cheap, trying to save $ after rebuild. $ 30 each for the coils

Coils are pretty tough. I would replase the bad ones.

The two bottom coils look perfect. Thanks,,, Im just going to replace top ones and go from there. Save the $ for new fuel pump and carb rebuild

Save your gas money for carb kits.

A bit of dirt in a carb will melt pistons.
A dead coil will not damage much except speed.

Rebuilding carbs is very simple, watch some of carb videos on Youtube, order the carb kits here on iBoats, its a non event and you save $600.
... put that in your tank.

See how rediculously simple it is.
Its literally more of a hassle removing and replacing the carbs than it is rebuilding them.
