1996 3.0 liter mercruiser engine question

Hey guys I have a 3.o lx mercruiser engine - engine serial#0F788395
I want to change out the drive belt and dont know which one I need - I have the original manual and have searched thru it to find out but to no avail any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help you with the part number but you could take it to any auto parts store and have them match it up.

i didnt want to take off the one on there -I just wanted to have an extra in the boat just in case

If you are worried about the belt, I'm guessing it needs to be replaced. Take it off and buy 2 replacements at the parts store, 1 to go onto the engine and the other to be placed inside the engine mount (while you are changing the original belt) and wire tied out of the way. Since you have to partially disassemble the front engine mount to replace the belt, it's best to be done at home, and to place a spare belt into position while you are in there.
