'99 100 HP Merc draining fuel/oil mix on deck.

When I am finished running my engine and then tilt it up it drains fuel
onto the deck. Is it safe to disconnect the fuel line and run the engine
until the carberators empty and the engine stalls, or will that cause
wear from lack of lubrication.

Its a good idea to let the engine run out of fuel,but depending on how far you tilt the motor up you may have some fuel drip out.

Do you premix? Not a good idea to lean out a 2 stroke on a regular basis.
